She is the P.I. of the Stress in Pregnancy (SIP) Study, a longitudinal study in developmental psychopathology. She is interested in elucidating how prenatal and early childhood adversity influences the trajectory of central nervous system development in humans.
By learning underlying mechanisms, she hopes to gain insights for early identification, prevention, and intervention of future psychopathology and associated problems. She is currently investigating factors that help children to better adapt to adversity.
